The Bombay High Court questioned why Parth Pawar, who holds a 99% stake in Ameida Enterprises LLP, was not named as an accused in a case involving the purchase of government land in Mundhwa. The LLP acquired 40 acres at a price below market value, the court noted.

The court was hearing a pre-arrest bail application for Suryakant Yewale, a Pune Tehsildar named as an accused by the police. Another accused, Digvijay Patil, holds a 1% stake in the LLP. The court expressed surprise that the 1% stakeholder was accused, but the 99% stakeholder, who is also the son of Maharashtra’s Deputy Chief Minister, was not.

The Director General of Police informed the court that he has directed Pune Police to investigate the matter and will monitor its progress. The court accepted this statement. While granting bail to Mr. Yewale, the judge noted that there were no allegations of Mr. Yewale passing orders for an impermissible consideration.
