An outage affecting border inspection kiosks at several major Canadian airports, including Montreal, Toronto, and Calgary, caused significant delays for arriving passengers on Sunday. The Canada Border Services Agency (CBSA) reported the disruption, which began Sunday afternoon and impacted kiosks at 10 airports across the country. Passengers experienced extended waits on planes and in terminals while awaiting immigration checks. According to Luke Reimer, a CBSA spokesman, the outage was due to an “unforeseen technical issue” that arose during routine maintenance. In response, CBSA staff began manually processing travelers’ information as efforts to resolve the technical problem continued.
