Sources indicate an exchange of small arms fire occurred earlier this week along the Line of Control (LoC) in the Nowgam sector of Kupwara. Reportedly, Pakistani forces initiated the firing with approximately four rounds. Indian troops responded with around twenty rounds of small arms fire, which sources stated was intended to prevent an infiltration attempt.
