A Member of Parliament has requested assistance in bringing the body of a constituent back to India. The constituent, identified as Kodumuru Supriya, 30, from Khammam, reportedly died in a road accident in Missouri, U.S., on October 4.
MP Ramasahayam Raghuram Reddy contacted the victim’s father to offer condolences. He has written to the External Affairs Minister, providing details of Ms. Supriya’s husband in the U.S., and requested that the Indian government cover the expenses for repatriating her remains to Khammam.
The MP has also informed the Chief Minister and contacted officials in Hyderabad to aid in the repatriation process. The Revenue Minister expressed sorrow over the death and stated that efforts are underway to expedite the return of the mortal remains.
