A vehicular collision occurred on Sunday evening, September 14, near Kuruva mosque in Kannur, resulting in one fatality and three injuries. Sreenita K.C., a 32-year-old IT teacher at NSS Higher Secondary School, Kalpetta, was pronounced deceased at a hospital after sustaining severe injuries in the incident. Her husband, Jijilesh, and their two children, Aradhya and Aathmika, who were also occupants of the car involved in the collision with a pick-up van, are currently receiving medical treatment at a private hospital in Chala. The family was reportedly returning from a visit to the Parassinikadavu temple at the time of the accident.
