Authorities in Rajasthan have arrested a government school teacher in connection with the death of a woman who had traveled to meet him. Manaram, 38, a teacher in Barmer district, was taken into custody following the discovery of Mukesh Kumari, 37, deceased in her car. Police allege that Manaram killed Kumari by striking her with an iron rod at his residence.
The incident reportedly occurred after a dispute between Manaram and Kumari. The two individuals had initially connected through a social media platform in October 2024 and had maintained a friendship, with Kumari, an anganwadi supervisor from Jhunjhunu, making frequent visits to Manaram. The disagreement arose when Kumari, after traveling approximately 600 kilometers to Barmer, informed Manaram’s family about their relationship, reportedly angering him.
Following the alleged assault, Manaram is accused of placing Kumari’s body in the driver’s seat of her own vehicle and parking it in Shiv Nagar, reportedly in an attempt to make the death appear accidental. Police confirmed the discovery of the woman’s body and Manaram’s subsequent arrest.
