A Telugu Desam Party (TDP) Member of the Legislative Council (MLC), Vepada Chiranjeevi Rao, stated that economic development and welfare schemes in North Andhra will lead to votes for the TDP and its allies, the Jana Sena Party (JSP) and the BJP, in upcoming local body elections. He highlighted significant industrial progress in the region.
Mr. Chiranjeevi Rao cited several major projects, including the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport, a proposed Reliance data centre, a Google AI data centre, and an ArcelorMittal steel plant, as evidence of this development. He expressed confidence that these advancements would encourage people to vote for the TDP in the urban, parishad, and panchayat elections.
Furthermore, the MLC mentioned that the state has attracted substantial investments, projected to create numerous jobs. He also noted the government’s systematic recruitment drives for various positions, which he believes will instill confidence in unemployed youth and influence their voting choices in favor of NDA parties.
Speaking in Vizianagaram while campaigning, Mr. Chiranjeevi Rao, who previously won the North Andhra Graduates’ seat, expressed his belief that intellectuals, teachers, lecturers, and business professionals would support the TDP due to satisfaction with the administration, development, and welfare initiatives.
