An archaeological finding in Manchirevula village, Ranga Reddy district, has brought attention to a hero stone sculpture with Shaiva affiliation. Dated approximately to the Rashtrakuta period around the 10th century CE based on its iconographic features, the sculpture depicts a figure holding a sword in the right hand and a shield in the left, notably with a snake positioned above its head. Archaeologist E. Sivanagireddy, CEO of Pleach India Foundation, has highlighted the artifact's historical significance and urged relevant authorities to undertake measures for its preservation.
