Isudan Gadhvi, the Gujarat unit chief of the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP), visited the family of a farmer in Revat, Una taluka, Gir-Somnath, who reportedly died by suicide. The incident is attributed to alleged debt pressure and crop failure.
During his visit, Mr. Gadhvi announced a donation of Rs 51,000 to the family from his Prarthana Foundation. Additionally, a community leader, Munnabhai, pledged Rs 1 lakh in assistance. Speaking to the media, Mr. Gadhvi urged the state government to formulate a policy aimed at preventing farmer suicides and to provide financial aid to the affected family.
The AAP leader also toured several villages in Kodinar of Gir-Somnath district that have been impacted by recent unseasonal rains.
