Actor Jayasurya and his wife, Saritha, have been questioned by the Enforcement Directorate (ED) as part of a money laundering investigation. The probe centers on an online investment scheme named 'Save Box', which is allegedly operated by Swathi Rahim, who is facing multiple cheating cases.
Jayasurya publicly stated that all his financial transactions were legal, following his appearances before the ED on December 24 and December 29. The agency's investigation identified certain transactions involving the actor. According to sources, Rahim reportedly informed the ED that payments were made to Jayasurya for endorsing 'Save Box' as its brand ambassador, including approximately ₹30 lakh transferred via banking channels to his partner and a larger cash sum allegedly delivered at his wife's boutique.
In response, the couple informed investigators that they had signed a formal endorsement agreement for ₹75 lakh, from which ₹69 lakh was received through banking channels from a company identified as Save Box Concepts Pvt.
