Andhra Pradesh Police Apprehend Five in Chain-Snatching Case, Seize Gold

The Eluru district police in Andhra Pradesh have apprehended a five-member group suspected of involvement in multiple chain-snatching incidents reported across various districts within the state. Authorities reported the seizure of 65 grams of gold ornaments and four motorcycles, which were allegedly used in the commission of these crimes.

The individuals taken into custody have been identified as N. Venkatesh, T. Durga Rao, T. Ramudu, A. Nagesh, and G. Nagaraju, all reportedly natives of the Eluru and West Godavari districts. Eluru Superintendent of Police K. Pratap Shiva Kishore indicated that the group is suspected of committing offenses in numerous locations, including Dwaraka Tirumala, Guntur, Vijayawada, Gudivada, Mandapeta, and Tadepalligudem.

The arrests occurred near Narayanapuram on Wednesday and were carried out by a police team comprising Eluru DSP D. Sravan Kumar, Jangareddygudem DSP U. Ravi Chandra, and Nidamarru CI Rajani Kumar.
