According to authorities, two victims were successfully pulled from the rubble, and an additional person was located. Six other workers are believed to remain buried. The specific conditions of those involved were not immediately available. The structure, which stood nearly 200 feet high and had been inactive for several years, was reportedly being dismantled using explosives. The power plant is operated by the state-run utility Korea East-West Power Co.
