An official from the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), Assistant Engineer Sachin Bandgar, was allegedly assaulted on Thursday afternoon while inspecting road construction in Kalina village, Santacruz East, Mumbai. According to police reports on Friday, the incident occurred after a local pre-school operator requested the work be stopped, claiming the construction was causing water leakage issues on her premises. A case has reportedly been registered concerning the alleged assault.
