The Southern Air Command (SAC), in collaboration with the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FICCI), is scheduled to host an industry outreach program and exhibition on October 31. The event's primary focus is on developing Unmanned Aerial Systems (UAS) for logistics and mobility solutions tailored for the Lakshadweep and Minicoy Islands.
A central aim is to brainstorm the development of Aerial Autonomous Logistics and Mobility Solutions, particularly focusing on Over The Sea Cargo Drones (OTSCD), which will be pursued through the Mehar Baba-4 competition. The exhibition component will showcase innovations and foster collaborations among stakeholders from the Ministry of Defence, armed forces, Coast Guard, academia, and UAS domain experts.
Participants are expected to explore partnership opportunities with various Indian Air Force Commands, state agencies, and academic institutions, ultimately addressing the logistical requirements of the armed forces in island territories.
