On October 3, 2025, Bajrang Singh, identified as a former National Security Guard (NSG) commando who participated in the 2008 anti-terror operation in Mumbai, was arrested in Ratangarh, Rajasthan. He was apprehended with 200 kilograms of cannabis. The Rajasthan Police, in conjunction with the Anti-Terrorist Squad (ATS) and Anti-Narcotics Task Force (ANTF) as part of ‘Operation Gaanjaney‘, alleged that Singh was a key figure in a cannabis smuggling network. This operation reportedly involved transporting cannabis from Telangana and Odisha into Rajasthan, as stated by Inspector General of Police Vikas Kumar.
