In Gujarat, government employee unions recently organized 378 blood donation camps, leading to the collection of 56,265 units of blood. This initiative, titled ‘Namo ke naam raktdan’, was undertaken in advance of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday on September 17. Organizers of the drive claimed that this significant collection established a new world record. Gujarat Home Minister Harsh Sanghavi publicly acknowledged and lauded the accomplishment.
