India-China Direct Air Travel to Resume After Five Years

Direct air connectivity between India and mainland China is scheduled to resume after a hiatus of over five years. IndiGo Airlines, identified as India’s largest carrier, will initiate a daily non-stop flight connecting Kolkata‘s Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose International Airport to Guangzhou Baiyun International Airport in China, commencing October 26. Additionally, the airline has announced plans to launch a daily direct flight between Delhi and Guangzhou starting November 10. The Airports Authority of India (AAI) commented on the route’s re-establishment through its X handle, characterizing it as a renewed chapter in international air travel and an opportunity for growth.
