India's representative articulated the nation's foreign policy perspective, stating that "principles are applied selectively and what is preached is not necessarily practiced," and called for serious global conversations to address evolving dynamics. India also expressed its welcome for the Gaza peace plan.

At the East Asia Summit (EAS), India affirmed its full support for the organization's activities and future trajectory. Key announcements included the designation of 2026 as the ASEAN-India year of maritime cooperation, an increase in nations joining the Indo-Pacific Oceans Initiative, and India's proposal to host an EAS Maritime Heritage Festival in Lothal, Gujarat. Additionally, India conveyed its intent to host the 7th EAS Conference on Maritime Security Cooperation.

Regarding Myanmar, India highlighted its role as a 'First Responder' during the March earthquake and noted the ongoing progress of the India-Myanmar-Thailand Trilateral Highway project. Concern was also raised about cyber scam centers in the region, which have reportedly affected Indian nationals. India concluded by emphasizing its appreciation for the EAS's contributions to peace, progress, and prosperity.
