India has been honored with the International Social Security Association (ISSA) Award 2025 for outstanding achievements in social security. The triennial award acknowledges the country’s efforts over the past decade to expand and strengthen social welfare coverage, highlighting innovations such as the e-Shram portal. Union Labour Minister Mansukh Mandaviya accepted the award on October 3, 2025, at the ISSA World Social Security Forum held in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
