Academician Karrotu Satyam has been unanimously elected as the new president of the Gandhi Smaraka Nidhi in Vizianagaram City. Sixty members of the association participated in the election process. The organization has outlined plans to promote Mahatma Gandhi’s philosophy among the youth and increase public awareness through various activities to be conducted across all 50 city divisions, aiming to encourage broader participation.
Following his election, Mr. Satyam commented on the enduring inspiration of Mahatma Gandhi's ideals for future generations. He announced that the association intends to organize essay writing competitions for students in schools and colleges over the next two months, with prizes scheduled to be distributed on January 30, 2026, coinciding with Mahatma Gandhi’s death anniversary.
