Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha delivered a keynote address at an international symposium on 'Peace, People and Possibilities in Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory' on November 5, 2025. The event, organized by Vishwagram, a non-profit organization, provided a platform for Sinha to discuss the region's current state and future.
Sinha stated that significant efforts and contributions over the last five years have been instrumental in fostering peace and progress in Jammu and Kashmir. He emphasized that the prevailing peace now allows for mutual respect and equal opportunities for all residents. The Lieutenant Governor attributed these transformations to the implementation of "people-first," social justice, and equality principles under the Prime Minister's leadership.
Furthermore, Sinha urged all segments of society in Jammu and Kashmir to unite and act as a unified force against elements attempting to disrupt peace. He specifically highlighted the need to counter challenges posed by drug addiction and youth radicalization. Sinha concluded by calling upon the populace to adhere to the rule of law as a foundation for sustained peace, progress, and prosperity in the region.
