In Mohali's SAS Nagar, the Punjab Police undertook the demolition of a property and the attachment of other assets in connection with an ongoing investigation into alleged drug trafficking. These actions target Bhagirath, an individual currently absconding, who is accused of involvement in drug-related activities.
The demolished house was reportedly constructed on Greater Mohali Area Development Authority (GMADA) land, with funds allegedly sourced from narcotics smuggling. Police investigations indicate that this property, registered in the name of Bhagirath's mother, was purportedly utilized as a central location for illegal trade and was equipped with surveillance cameras. In addition to the demolition, the Punjab Police also attached another house belonging to Bhagirath in SAS Nagar, along with an Innova car. These measures form part of broader efforts by law enforcement to address drug trafficking and seize illegally acquired assets within the region.
