The State-level Dasara CM Cup Sports Meet is scheduled to take place in Mysuru from September 22 to 25, as part of the Dasara festivities. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah is slated to inaugurate the event on September 22 at 4:30 p.m.
This year’s meet introduces a special category for local sports, bringing the total to five categories. A total of 3,230 sportspersons, with 646 representatives from each division, are expected to compete in 26 disciplines. These disciplines include mainstream games as well as local events such as Blind Chess, Cycle Polo, Karate, Bodybuilding, and the Chamundi Hill Climb.
The competitions will be held across 13 venues in the city, including Chamundi Vihara Stadium, Manasagangotri Indoor Stadium, and Mysore University Pavilion. Cash prizes are allocated for various events, with the Chamundi Hill Climb offering ₹10,000, ₹7,000, and ₹5,000 for top finishers. Individual category winners are set to receive ₹8,000, ₹5,000, and ₹2,500, with separate prize structures established for group events.
