Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently inaugurated a series of youth-focused initiatives in Bihar, valued at approximately Rs 62,000 crore. During the event, the Prime Minister attributed the state’s significant migration to perceived deficiencies in the education system under previous governments led by the RJD and Congress. He also made remarks concerning Congress leader Rahul Gandhi and the legacy of socialist figure Karpoori Thakur. Modi underscored the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government’s stated commitment to empowering youth through education, skill development, and employment opportunities.
Among the inaugurated projects were the Bihar Youth Commission, the Jan Nayak Karpoori Thakur Skill University, and a new campus for NIT Patna in Bihta. Additionally, the Prime Minister distributed appointment letters for government positions to 3,942 individuals. He highlighted the ongoing modernization of Bihar’s educational infrastructure, crediting the ‘double-engine government’ approach. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar stated that Bihar has provided employment to 50 lakh youth over the past two decades. Kumar further asserted that while prior administrations accomplished little, the NDA has consistently worked for Bihar’s development since assuming power.
