An incident involving two local groups in Kailashahar, Unakoti district, Tripura, on Tuesday resulted in at least one reported injury. The altercation is alleged to have arisen from a dispute concerning government tenders, with gunshots reportedly discharged into the air from unidentified firearms during the event.
Local police have registered a case against eight individuals under various sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita. These sections include provisions related to voluntarily causing hurt by dangerous weapons, robbery, criminal intimidation, common intention, and criminal conspiracy. As of Wednesday, authorities have confirmed that no arrests have been made in connection with the incident.
