State Cabinet Approves Initiative for Enhanced Public Interface and Service Delivery

The State Cabinet has approved a new initiative, provisionally named ‘CM With Me,’ aimed at enhancing the interface between the public and government operations while promoting transparency. The program’s primary objectives include facilitating easy access to information on key government schemes, welfare programs, and the Chief Minister’s Distress Relief Fund. It also seeks to collect and analyze public feedback to improve government project quality and timeliness, gather public suggestions across vital sectors like housing, healthcare, and infrastructure, and ensure effective responses to public grievances. Additionally, the initiative plans to foster transparency and public participation in governance through outreach and to establish a reliable public service system for emergencies, providing timely information and coordinated assistance.

The program’s management will be handled by experienced government officials, with the Kerala Infrastructure Investment Fund Board (KIIFB) designated to provide technical, infrastructure, and manpower support. Staffing will involve government personnel, including Kerala Administrative Service (KAS) officers, on a working arrangement basis, and All India Service officers will oversee supervision. An additional ₹20 crore has been allocated to the Information and Public Relations department for content creation, dissemination, and feedback collection related to the initiative.
