A senior sub-registrar, Narayanappa, engaged in a two-day protest in front of Kandaya Bhavan, Bengaluru. He indicated that he has been without a posting or salary for three months following his transfer from Chintamani. Mr. Narayanappa displayed materials, including his application requesting a posting, newspaper clippings referencing his prior stance against bribes, and photographs from his former office. He asserted his appeal for assignment to a vacant senior sub-registrar position after counselling.

In response, Mullai Muhilan M.P., the Inspector-General of Registration and Commissioner of Stamps, stated that the government had promoted Mr. Narayanappa, among others, to a higher position. However, the Commissioner clarified that Mr. Narayanappa has not accepted this promotion or reported to the designated new post.
