T.T. Jagannathan, the chairman emeritus of T.T.K. Prestige, passed away in Bengaluru on Friday, October 10, 2025, at the age of 77. His passing was announced by Prestige, the flagship kitchen and home products company of the T.T.K. Group, in a stock exchange filing.
Mr. Jagannathan, identified as a grandson of former Union Finance Minister T.T. Jagannathan, served as a promoter-director and held leadership positions at T.T.K. Prestige Ltd. since 1975. Under his guidance, the company reportedly became a market leader in the country’s small appliances industry and achieved a market capitalization exceeding one billion dollars.
His contributions were noted in the successful management of company affairs, as well as in providing technical inputs for the development of novel products, research and development, and the application of technology. He served as executive chairman for 19 years until 2019, subsequently continuing as a non-executive director/chairman. He was recognized as the longest-serving director/chairman in the company’s history.
