A teaser trailer has been released for The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping, an upcoming film in the Hunger Games franchise. Set in the dystopian nation of Panem, the movie centers on the 'Second Quarter Quell,' a televised annual tournament where 48 tributes—double the standard number—are selected from the 12 districts to participate in a deadly competition. This compulsory event was established nearly a century ago, following a failed rebellion by the districts against the Capitol.
Building on the original book series by Suzanne Collins, the new installment is directed by Francis Lawrence. The cast includes Joseph Zada, Elle Fanning, Jesse Plemons, Mckenna Grace, Maya Hawke, Kieran Culkin, and Glenn Close, while the first film featured actors such as Jennifer Lawrence and Liam Hemsworth under the direction of Gary Ross.
