The incident occurred at Virar’s Narangi jetty when the ferry, having departed from Jalsar at 5:40 PM, was unable to dock due to a ramp failure. Port officials identified the cause as a hydraulic snag resulting from a burst hose pipe, with low tide conditions reportedly exacerbating the situation. All passengers and vehicles aboard the vessel were subsequently disembarked safely in Virar, and no injuries were reported in connection with the event.
