Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently chaired a review meeting for the state's Information Technology and Electronics Department. During the meeting, CM Adityanath stated that electronics exports from Uttar Pradesh increased from Rs 3,862 crore in the 2017-18 fiscal year to Rs 44,744 crore in 2024-25, and IT exports rose from Rs 55,711 crore to Rs 82,055 crore over the same period. He emphasized the necessity of a simplified, transparent, and timely approval process for investors in the IT and IT-enabled services sectors.
A report presented to the Chief Minister by the department detailed that the Electronics Manufacturing Policy-2020 has led to 67 investment proposals, amounting to Rs 15,477 crore, with the potential to create 1,48,710 jobs. The report also indicated that incentives totaling Rs 430 crore have been approved thus far, with an additional 25 proposals anticipated to be cleared by March 2026.
