The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the results for its Class 10 examinations. Nationally, the overall pass rate for the examination was recorded at 93.70 percent, indicating a marginal increase of 0.04 percentage points compared to the previous assessment period.
The Pune region, which comprises Maharashtra, Goa, Daman and Diu, and Dadra and Nagar Haveli, achieved a pass rate of 96.66 percent. This performance positioned Pune at the seventh rank among the 22 CBSE regions across the country, with six other regions reporting higher passing percentages.
In the Pune region, 1,496 schools participated in the examinations, utilizing 445 examination centres. Specifically, 1,444 of these schools were located in Maharashtra, while 16 were in Goa. Analysis of results within the Pune region showed that girls recorded a higher passing rate of 97.35 percent, exceeding that of boys, who achieved a 96.1 percent pass rate.
