Eviction Leads to Relocation of Camp in Scottish Borders Woodland

A group of three individuals, identifying themselves as the Kingdom of Kubala, were recently evicted from a privately-owned woodland encampment near Jedburgh in the Scottish Borders. Sheriff officers carried out the eviction at 08:00. Following the order, the group relocated their camp a few meters away to another spot within the same woodland, separated by a wire fence. The eviction was executed after the group had previously ignored an instruction to leave and a subsequent order issued by Sheriff Peter Paterson. The group asserts ancestral rights to the land, which they claim led to the establishment of the Kingdom of Kubala. This incident follows a prior eviction of the trio from a hillside site above Jedburgh by the Scottish Borders Council in July.
