The Karnataka State Tourism Development Corporation (KSTDC) is introducing a new mobile food service called ‘Mayura Ruchi on Wheels’ to offer tourists hygienic food at popular destinations. This initiative aims to extend KSTDC’s food and hospitality services beyond its existing hotel locations.

Initially, food vans will be deployed at Hampi, Madikeri, Jog Falls, Mysuru, Nandi Hills, and other key tourist spots in Bengaluru. The mobile units will serve a variety of food, including breakfast, snacks, meals, and regional specialties from across Karnataka.

According to the Tourism Minister, K.J. George, the goal is to enhance the tourist experience by providing convenient access to quality food. He stated that the initiative will also promote regional cuisine, generate employment, and increase revenue for KSTDC.

The KSTDC Chairman, M. Srinivas, noted that this is the corporation’s first venture into mobile food services. He emphasized that local dishes will be prioritized, potentially creating business opportunities for local communities.
