Danasari Anasuya (Seethakka), Minister for Panchayat Raj and Rural Development, has outlined plans for extensive road infrastructure development in anticipation of the Medaram Maha Jatara, scheduled for January 28-31, 2026. The initiatives aim to facilitate vehicle movement and mitigate traffic congestion for the large number of devotees expected. Officials have received directives to widen existing roads and construct new routes within forest areas. Key projects include a new road from Kondaparthi to Padikapuram via Gonepalli and Mutthapuram, road enhancements from Kalvapalli to Kannepalli, the construction of a BT road from Kalvapalli to Oortam, and a new route to Oortam via Chinnaboinapalli, specifically for devotees traveling from Chhattisgarh and the erstwhile Khammam district. In addition to roads, the district administration is developing other essential facilities such as parking areas, earthen and BT roads, and installing dividers. The State government has sanctioned ₹150 crore for these permanent developmental projects and critical infrastructure for the Maha Jatara.
