The Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC) has introduced new regulations restricting construction activities within the city to the hours of 7 AM to 9 PM. This decision aims to address concerns regarding air and sound pollution stemming from construction projects, following numerous complaints received by the civic body. City Engineer Annirudha Pawaskar confirmed the policy, which was determined in a meeting led by Municipal Commissioner Naval Kishore Ram. The PMC’s building permission department has been directed to include these mandatory operational timings in all future construction permission certificates.
