Police in Surat’s Laskana area have apprehended a 28-year-old man in connection with a homicide investigation. The arrest was made five days after human remains were discovered at a local waste dump site, with the remainder of the victim’s body subsequently recovered from a locked room in a nearby residential society.
Authorities identified the arrested individual as Munna alias Ishaq Mansuri and the victim as Dinesh Mohato, 30. Both were residents of Laskana and natives of Bihar’s Gopalganj district. According to police, an alleged altercation between the accused and the victim, who were coworkers, led to the murder. Police allege that Mansuri killed Mohato on September 11 and dismembered the body, reportedly due to a grudge.
