University Initiative Concludes to Boost Student Industry Readiness

The third edition of “Skill Palaver 2026–27,” a skill development initiative organised by KL Deemed to be University’s Skill Development Department, has concluded. The event aimed to enhance students’ technical abilities and prepare them for industry demands.

Students presented projects in seven key areas, including Machine Learning, Cloud Computing, Embedded Systems, Semiconductors, Mechanical Engineering, Building Information Modelling, and Robotic Process Automation. A special Buildathon focused on Digital Design and Computer Architecture was also held for first-year students. Participants collaborated in teams to create technology-based solutions for real-world challenges, receiving guidance from faculty and industry experts.

Projects were assessed based on technical merit, performance, feasibility, and industry relevance. Professionals from various leading companies participated in the evaluation process and offered feedback. The University Vice-Chancellor highlighted the significance of hands-on learning in equipping students for the evolving job market, stating that such programs enable students to apply theoretical knowledge practically and foster essential skills like teamwork and problem-solving.
