Following the dismissal of Deputy Attorney General Pam Bondi on Thursday, Todd Blanche has assumed the interim leadership of the Justice Department. Mr. Blanche, who previously held roles as the president's personal attorney and as Deputy Attorney General in the administration, will serve in this capacity until a permanent replacement is confirmed. On the day of this transition, President Donald Trump was present in Washington. Separately, the President had recently issued a statement regarding Iran's transport and energy infrastructure.
