The Deputy Speaker of the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly, K. Raghu Ramakrishna Raju, inaugurated a new 10-km raw water pumping project on Monday. The project is located in Juvvalapalem village, within the Undi constituency.
This initiative was made possible through a corporate social responsibility contribution of ₹1.56 crore from SEIL Energy India Limited (SEIL). The project is designed to alleviate drinking water challenges for approximately 10,000 residents across several villages, including Kalavapudi, Pallipalem, Prathella Meraka, Modi, and S.C. Bose Colony.
The region has been experiencing difficulties in accessing potable water due to high salinity levels in the surrounding areas. SEIL CEO Janmejaya Mahapatra stated that the project demonstrates the company’s dedication to community development and sustainable advancement.
