BRS Leader Raises Concerns Over Telangana Fee Reimbursement Fund Delays

Former minister and Bharat Rashtra Samithi (BRS) leader T. Harish Rao has expressed concerns regarding the delay in releasing funds for the fee reimbursement scheme by the Telangana government.

According to Rao, no funds have been disbursed since the Congress party assumed administration of the state, a situation he claims is pushing numerous private degree, postgraduate, education (B.Ed, M.Ed), management (BBA, MBA), computer applications (MCA), and engineering colleges towards potential closure. He stated that this could impact approximately 13 lakh students currently pursuing these courses.

The BRS leader contrasted this lack of funding with the government’s initiation of tenders for various development projects, which he estimated to total around ₹2.5 lakh crore. He further alleged that the government’s prioritization of these large-scale projects over existing educational support and fee reimbursement bills was motivated by the pursuit of commissions.
