On Sunday, September 14, Hyderabad experienced heavy rainfall during the evening hours, following a hot and sunny day. This precipitation resulted in widespread waterlogging and significant traffic congestion across various parts of the city, affecting areas such as Jubilee Hills, Tolichowki, Shaikpet nala, Biodiversity Junction, and Raidurgam.

In response to the challenging conditions, the Hyderabad Traffic Police initiated vehicle diversions and deployed personnel from the Hyderabad, Cyberabad, and Rachakonda commissionerates to manage traffic flow. Teams from the Hyderabad Disaster Response and Asset Protection Agency (HYDRAA) were also activated to clear waterlogged stretches.

Data released by the Telangana Development Planning Society (TGDPS) indicated that, as of 8 p.m., Shaikpet recorded the highest rainfall at 80.8 mm. Other notable accumulations included 60.8 mm in Jubilee Hills, 55.3 mm in Anandbagh, and 54.8 mm in Bandlaguda, with numerous other localities also receiving substantial rainfall.
