The Cockroach Janata Party (CJP) has accused Rajasthan Police of forcibly detaining and manhandling its national organisational co-in-charge, Deepak Baliyan, from his residence in Alwar district. The party alleges that Baliyan, who has a fractured leg, was taken away and driven approximately 100 km before being released late at night.

According to Baliyan’s family, police initially summoned him, and he livestreamed the interaction. The family claims police returned, asked him to delete the video, and then took him into custody when he refused. CJP co-convener Ashutosh Ranka alleged that Baliyan was dragged, causing further injury to his leg.

The CJP claims this alleged police action is connected to their planned protest in Delhi on October 10. The protest aims to demand the resignation of Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar over alleged manipulation of electoral rolls and voter deletions during the Special Intensive Revision exercise.

However, Rajasthan Police have denied detaining Deepak Baliyan. The party had previously accused local police of placing Baliyan under house arrest and threatening his family.
