Maurene Comey, a former U.S. federal prosecutor, has initiated legal proceedings against President Donald Trump’s administration following her dismissal in July. The lawsuit, filed in Manhattan federal court, names the Justice Department and the Executive Office of the President as defendants. Comey, who previously worked on high-profile cases involving Ghislaine Maxwell and music producer Sean “Diddy” Combs, is also the eldest daughter of former FBI director James Comey. She states in her filing that no reason was provided for her removal from the position.
