Medicover Hospitals has issued a statement to clarify its position regarding allegations of political affiliations. The hospital group expressed concern over certain YouTube channels that have linked political parties and leaders with the organization.

The Chief Operating Officer of Medicover Hospitals India, Mahesh Degloorkool, stated that public representatives from various political parties and governments have attended the inaugurations of Medicover hospitals in their official capacities. He cited examples such as the inauguration of a hospital in Telangana by former Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao during the BRS government and another by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy under the Congress government. Union Ministers G. Kishan Reddy and Bandi Sanjay Kumar also attended these functions.

The statement further mentioned the attendance of former Minister T. Harish Rao at the opening of the Begumpet hospital and former Speaker Pocharam Srinivas Reddy at another Medicover inauguration. In Maharashtra, Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, and senior leader Sharad Pawar had participated in hospital inaugurations.

Mr. Degloorkool emphasized that the attendance of public representatives at a hospital inauguration in their official capacity should not be misconstrued as a political association. He warned that campaigns targeting the hospital for political gain could create undue anxiety for patients and their families, urging the public not to be misled by unverified reports.
