The academic journal Littcrit is scheduled to release its 100th issue on April 8 at the Kerala University senate chamber. This event forms part of the journal's ongoing 50th anniversary celebrations.

Established in 1975 under the leadership of P.K. Rajan, Littcrit has maintained a significant presence in academic circles both in India and internationally for five decades. Its pages have featured contributions from a diverse array of respected scholars and writers, including figures such as Mulk Raj Anand, Fredric Jameson, Terry Eagleton, and Shashi Tharoor, among others.

The ceremonial release of the 100th issue will see Professor Udaya Kumar from Jawaharlal Nehru University present the first copy to noted critic E.V. Ramakrishnan. The function will be presided over by the journal’s editor, Professor P.P. Ajayakumar. Additional speakers at the event will include Lal C.A., Head of the Institute of English at Kerala University, along with Kalyani Vallath, P.N. Prakash, and B. Hariharan.
