Third seed Amanda Anisimova secured a 6-1, 6-2 victory over defending champion Coco Gauff in their China Open semi-final match. The contest lasted 58 minutes, positioning Anisimova to compete in Sunday's final. Her opponent will be determined by the outcome of the match between Jessica Pegula and Linda Noskova.

Anisimova, who is ranked world number four, previously reached the finals of both Wimbledon and the US Open this year. During her semi-final performance in Beijing, she lost only five points on her first serve and won the initial five games of the match.
