Archbishop Varghese Chakkalakkal of Calicut recently delivered the keynote address at the golden jubilee celebration of Presentation Higher Secondary School in Perinthalmanna. During his speech, Archbishop Chakkalakkal urged students to approach the study of the Constitution with a reverence akin to that given to sacred scriptures such as the Bible, Bhagavad Gita, or Koran. He further called upon teachers to instill strong constitutional values in their students, stating that this approach is crucial for addressing societal "moral decay," fostering a peaceful nation, upholding democracy, and ensuring harmonious coexistence among diverse communities. The valedictory session of the celebration was inaugurated by District Collector V.R. Vinod and also featured remarks from several other dignitaries.
