On September 27, the Patiala House Court granted bail to Gaganpreet Kaur in connection with the Delhi BMW accident case. Her advocate, Pradeep Rana, stated his client was “implicated” and without fault, citing CCTV footage which he claimed also showed her offering assistance to the injured. The court’s decision to grant bail was influenced by CCTV footage, indicating the incident was accidental rather than a result of reckless or negligent driving.
Furthermore, the court strongly criticized an ambulance crew for failing to render aid to the victims. Despite arriving at the scene within seconds, the ambulance remained for approximately 30 seconds without transporting the injured. This prompted the court to question if this omission constituted medical negligence, highlighting the obligation of an ambulance with a paramedic to provide transport to injured individuals.
