A family in Delhi’s Nangloi area reportedly cremated an incorrect body following an incident at a hospital mortuary. The situation developed when two deceased individuals, identified as Pankaj Kumar and Bharat Bhushan, were brought to the mortuary simultaneously on Thursday for post-mortem examinations.
According to PTI sources, Bharat Bhushan’s family allegedly identified and claimed the body of Pankaj Kumar, subsequently performing the last rites on Friday. The discrepancy came to light when Pankaj Kumar’s family arrived at the hospital to collect his body, only to find that the mortuary contained solely the body of Bharat Bhushan, prompting their objection.
